Celebrate some of the biggest and most life changing contributions of African Americans over the decades.  This year we honor African Americans from all periods of U.S. history, from the great inventors of the 18th Century to the great literary minds of today. Join us in celebrating the people who pushed the United States to evolve into something better and more equal for everyone. Begin your journey at the Arches Playground in Gene Leahy Mall and discover the importance of celebrating Black History Month!

Come join us for Mardi Gras Mambo with the Prairie Gators, a fun and festive Fat Tuesday pop-up concert featuring beads, treats, and yard games. Laissez les bon temps rouler.

Looking to start a garden this year? Come to The RiverFront Community Seed Share to get free pollinator-friendly flower seeds, locally sourced right here in the community! Whether you are new to gardening or have been growing plants for years, this is a great opportunity to meet with other garden-enthusiasts, learn more about the garden community in Omaha, and gather a new collection of seeds for your garden. The RiverFront will be giving away a variety of locally sourced native flower seeds as well as organic crop seeds. Partners attending include Blazing Star Seed Coop, The Big Garden, Benson Community Gardens, and Douglas-Sarpy Extension Master Gardeners.
