Celebrate the return of the holidays at The RiverFront! Thanks to generous support from philanthropic community along with the City of Omaha, this festive season will shine brighter than ever. Stroll through Gene Leahy Mall, Heartland of America Park and Lewis & Clark Landing, where hundreds of illuminated trees and joyful decorations spread seasonal cheer across all 72 acres of the park.

Every Friday and Saturday night, enjoy the splendid magic of a jubilant multimedia show, projected onto the Gene Leahy Mall Performance Pavilion, the Burlington Building and the 10th Street Bridge video wall. Don’t miss the nearly 70-foot-tall holiday tree at the 8th Street Arrival Plaza in Heartland of America Park, a spectacular centerpiece of the celebration.

The RiverFront has once again created a winter wonderland in the heart of downtown Omaha and invites the community to celebrate the arrival of another holiday season! Decorations, as well as park programming, are facilitated by The RiverFront and its staff.

Holiday Lights Festival

In partnership with the City of Omaha and Holiday Lights Festival producers Mayor Jean Stothert and Downtown Omaha Inc. Foundation, The RiverFront is proud to present the 2023 Lighting Ceremony at Gene Leahy Mall.  Following the return of holiday lights in 2022, this year’s celebration will commence on Saturday, November 25th at 6 PM. To learn more about the Holiday Lights Festival, which decorates various other locations around downtown Omaha, follow any of the links below.

While you’re enjoying holiday lights at The RiverFront, be certain to explore some of the other festive decorations that can be found in downtown Omaha!

In the Old Market, white lights, garland, and dazzling snowflakes will illuminate the brick streets and historic architecture. This sparkling spectacle spans several blocks, from 10th to 13th Streets, between Farnam and Jackson Streets.

The North Omaha lighting display will be showcased within a six-block area near 24th and Lake Streets.

In South Omaha, more glittering lights will be thoughtfully placed along 24th Street between L and Q Streets.
